It provides a electrial solution that if you have a European vehicle with 7 pin round, and you want to hook up a American trailer, with a 4 pin flat plug. If your have a round 7 Pin receptacle in the vehicle end, and your American trailer has a 4 pin flat male plug, where your trailer need the brake and turn signals, this Trailer Wiring Connector will need to be use.
